Accelerated Nursing Program with Job Placement
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is designed for International students that have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related medical field from their native countries and would like to transition to the United States of America, begin their accelerated nursing program, and begin employment upon the completion of the program as well as become U.S. legal residents of the United States within 1 year of the completion of the ABSN program.

The Massachusetts General Hospital (MHG) Institute of Health Professions’s (IHP) Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing is designed for international graduate college students with nursing and non-nursing degrees looking to become professional registered nurses (RN) in the United States of America. Admission Eligibility and Review Process
International students looking to apply for the program must meet all of the admissions requirements prior to submitting an application. All applications will be reviewed and all applicants will have an online interview conducted by EduBookings.com. We will provide all international students that qualify for the program 100% financing for the entire cost of the program.
Pre-requisites Courses
- Chemistry (no lab): Basic Chemistry, Intro to Chemistry, or Intro to Chemistry for Health professionals will be accepted.
- Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II (no lab) or Human Anatomy (no lab) and Human Physiology (no lab).
- Human Growth & Development also known as Developmental Psychology: The course must cover lifespan including physical cognitive, and emotional development.
- Microbiology: Must include content on microbes. No lab component is required.
- Human Nutrition: Exercise, sport, or weight control courses do not meet this requirement.
- Statistics: Must include inferential statistics.
Application Requirements:
- Overall GPA of 2.7 for bachelor’s degree applicants.
- Overall GPA of 3.3 for master’s degree applicants.

Applicants Backgrounds
This program is designed for professionals with or without work experience that have a bachelor’s degree in a career such as nursing, medicine, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, dentistry, and most medical degrees or science-related degrees that meet the pre-requisite courses listed above.
Program Financing through MPOWER
Financing Requirements:
- Admission to the ABSN program
- Submit an application for financial aid 60 to 90 days before the start of the program.
- Additional funding sources/proof + credit history from home country( if available)
- No collateral or cosigner is required.
- No credit history is required.
- All loans are fixed annual rate loans.
Fees and other details:
- The application process for approval takes 30 days from beginning to end.
- 5% origination fee lumped into the overall amount of the loan.
- No loan is more than two (2) years in length
- Maximum Loan amount: US$100,000 dollars
- Loan funds can be used for tuition fees, housing on or off campus, meals, books, and other expenses which can be invoiced by MGH.
- Repayment begins 45 days after disbursement, interest only.
- No prepayment penalty.
Interest and Disbursements
- International Undergraduate students: 12.9% annual fixed rate divided into monthly payments.
- International Graduate students: 11.99% annual fixed rate divided into monthly payments.
- The first interest payment is due within 30 days of the first disbursement and then due every month after to establish credit.
Loan payments
- All loans have a 10-year repayment term. International students will need to begin payments 6 months after graduation from the ABSN program.

The ABSN at MGH IHP has been divided into four (4) terms with a total duration of 16 months from beginning to end. The total cost of the program is shown below:

Application Fees
The application fees are the total upfront out-of-pocket money that you as the applicant will need to pay upfront. Please see below the fees details:
- Application and Processing Fee US$1500 dollars (Nonrefundable)
- I-140, EB-3 Visa and Green Card processing fee US$1,500 dollars (Refundable if visa is denied)
- Total out-of-pocket cost of US$3,000
The application and processing fee will cover the cost of the application and admission process to the program, as well as, attorney fees, visa advising, arrival, and post-arrival support.
The I-140, EB-3 Visa, and Green Card processing fees will cover the attorney fees for the process of your residency card and all forms related to this process. The fee does NOT include the USCIS forms fees for your I-140, EB-3 Visa, and other fees required by the U.S Government. The average attorney fee for this type of process in the United States is on average US$10,000+, which means that applicants for this program are getting a discount of US$8,500 dollars or more on attorney processing fees.*
*I-140, EB-3 Visa, and Green Card processing are done thru our program partners and their internal immigration attorneys. If the student visa is denied this fee is refunded to the applicant.
